The Green-AI-Hub Mittelstand is an initiative within the framework of the five-point programme "Artificial Intelligence for Environment and Climate" of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV).

The Green-AI-Hub Mittelstand is an initiative within the framework of the five-point programme "Artificial Intelligence for Environment and Climate" of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV). It is part of the Federal Government's AI strategy. With the programme, the BMUV aims to promote the sustainable design of AI and the use of its opportunities for the benefit of the climate and environment.

 

Implementation of the Green-AI Hub Mittelstand

Within this framework, the Green-AI Hub Mittelstand promotes the sustainable design of AI and the use of its opportunities for the benefit of the climate and environment. The Zukunft - Umwelt - Gesellschaft (ZUG) gGmbH implements the initiative administratively and technically on behalf of the Federal Environment Ministry. The Deutsche Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI), the Wuppertal Institut and the VDI Technologiezentrum are ZUG's contractors for the establishment and operation of the hub. The initiative runs until 31 December 2025.
